BCMG backing Birmingham UK City of Culture bid

Birmingham Contemporary Music Group is supporting Birmingham's bid to become the UK's first City of Culture in 2013. Considering the breadth and depth of Birmingham's culture scene we have to stand a good chance but we're not taking anything for granted.

Birmingham has been shortlisted, along with Londonderry, Norwich and Sheffield – and there are two ways that you can get involved in the bid to help increase Birmingham's chance for success!

Everyone in the city is being encouraged to join Birmingham’s Big Conversation by telling the team behind the bid what you would like to see included in the final application before it’s submitted on Friday 21 May. You can do this by going to www.birminghamculture.org and clicking on the big 'Join the Conversation button at the top of the home page'. Ther other way to show your support is to become a fan of the bid on Facebook. The judging panel will look at how digitally involved local public are in our City of Culture bid and it will play a part in determining if we are successful.
